Scientific conference, dedicated to the Neutrality of Turkmenistan was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

24, 2015, scientific
conference
“Neutrality
of Turkmenistan: cooperation in the name of peace, global security and
sustainable development”, dedicated to the announcement of the year of 2015
as the Year of Peace and Neutrality was held
at the Institute
of
International
Relations
of
the
Ministry
of
Foreign
Affairs of
Turkmenistan.
Heads of
the diplomatic missions
of
foreign countries and representatives of international organizations accredited
in Turkmenistan, representatives of the Turkmen media and foreign journalists accredited
in the country, diplomatic staff of the MFA of Turkmenistan and also the teachers and students of
higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan were invited to participate in work of
the conference.
The
speakers
of
the
conference
underlined
that the
most important factor in leading domestic and foreign policy of our country to
success, is the openness of Turkmenistan, readiness to the wide
partnership, susceptibility to positive world experience and active peacekeeping
position in solving regional and global issues. All this – are the principles of Turkmenistan’s neutrality that became efficient mechanism in the defense of national interests and
diversification of international cooperation of Turkmenistan.
According to the speakers of the conference, Neutrality of Turkmenistan is considered as the most important
factor in providing the steady development at the regional and global scale. The legal status of our country’s Neutrality gained a high grade as
important tool in adjusting interstate dialog, efficient mechanism
of developing relations of mutual understanding and good neighborliness.
Current conference is the beginning of
political and social-informational series of events, which are dedicated to the announcement
of the year of 2015 as the Year of Neutrality and Peace, which will be held on
regular basis in Turkmenistan and abroad throughout the whole year.
In conclusion of the conference, its participants expressed gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his untiring activities in the name of the happiness
of Turkmen nation, for
positive initiatives and undertakings that gained for independent Turkmenistan high reputation and recognition
of the world community. They also wished to the esteemed President of
Turkmenistan new outstanding success in his multi-faceted activities that are directed to the well-being and prosperity of Turkmenistan.
