Turkmenistan and Türkiye reaffirm сommitment to further strengthening cooperation
On 18 April 2026, talks were held in Antalya between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Hakan Fidan.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy agency Rashid Meredov, congratulated the Turkish side on the successful holding of the Fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF-2026) and the high level of its organization.
During the talks, the sides noted the traditionally high level of interstate relations, which have been developing dynamically and successfully owing to the efforts of the Presidents of the two countries, as well as the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, esteemed Arkadag.
The ministers reviewed a wide range of issues in the context of the further development of political and diplomatic ties, the expansion of interparliamentary cooperation, and the strengthening of the legal and contractual framework.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides exchanged views on current international issues, confirming the closeness of their positions on matters related to strengthening regional stability and security.
