The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and the President of the Republic of Korea held a bilateral meeting and took part in a business forum

Yesterday in the Turkmen capital, a meeting was held between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol, who is in Turkmenistan on a state visit.

Once again warmly welcoming President Yoon Suk Yeol to Ashgabat, Hero-Arkadag noted that this visit is an important event in the history of interstate relations. Turkmenistan sees in the Republic of Korea a good friend and a reliable business partner, with which it intends to continue to develop productive cooperation that has impressive potential, the optimal implementation of which meets common interests. Implementing a comprehensive transformation strategy aimed at radical modernization and industrialization of the national economy, our country is relying on the introduction of advanced technologies, innovations and the best foreign experience. This opens up the most favorable opportunities for building up effective Turkmen-Korean interaction, giving it new specific content, taking into account modern realities.

Expressing sincere gratitude for the warm welcome, President Yoon Suk Yeol confirmed the continued interest of the Republic of Korea in multifaceted cooperation with Turkmenistan. In this context, the high effectiveness of the negotiations held on June 10 with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was emphasized, following which a large package of documents was signed confirming the parties’ commitment to effective cooperation on a long-term basis. As the leader of a friendly country noted, Turkmenistan is an important partner of the Republic of Korea, and the agreements reached in Ashgabat make it possible to specify the key vectors of successful joint work with a view to the future.

On the same day, the Turkmen-Korean business forum was held in Ashgabat with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol.

Before the start of the forum, Hero-Arkadag and the Head of the friendly state together toured the exhibition, which provided a visual representation of the economic achievements of Turkmenistan and the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people. The comprehensive exhibition demonstrated the solid production and export potential of sectors of the national economy. Various types of high-quality goods produced in our country, which are in demand in the domestic and foreign markets, were presented here. These are products of the textile industry, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, construction materials, etc.
