Preliminary results of the visit of the delegation of the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate of the UN Security Council to Ashgabat were discussed

On December 13, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the Executive Director of the UN Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate Natalia Gherman.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the preliminary results of the assessment visit of the delegation of the UN Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate to Turkmenistan from December 9 to 13 this year.

It is important to note that the purpose of this visit was to assess the implementation of the provisions of UN Security Council resolutions related to the fight against terrorism, as well as the implementation of the recommendations of the assessment visit carried out in November 2017.

The parties noted the constructive nature of Turkmenistan's cooperation with the UN in this area.
