The National Leader of the Turkmen People held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Türkiye

On March 30, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Having exchanged warm greetings, Hero-Arkadag and the President of the Republic of Türkiye congratulated each other on the holy holiday of Oraza and expressed hope that the Almighty will accept all the noble deeds accomplished in the bright days of the blessed month of Oraza.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan cordially congratulated Hero-Arkadag on the adoption for the third time by the UN General Assembly of the Resolution "Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan", noting that this significant achievement clearly demonstrates the recognition of Turkmenistan's policy aimed at maintaining peace, universal well-being and sustainable development.

Hero-Arkadag thanked for the kind words and support of the fraternal Turkish Republic for the international initiatives of Turkmenistan based on the principles of neutrality policy.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people also expressed gratitude for the participation of the Turkish delegation in the International Conference “Year of Peace and Trust: Development of International Activities for the Sake of Children”, dedicated to the 4th anniversary of the establishment of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Noting the importance of a large-scale forum designed to unite efforts to ensure a happy future and prosperous life for children, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended to the delegation of the Republic of Türkiye.

During the telephone conversation, it was noted that Türkiye is one of the strategic trade and economic partners of Turkmenistan. Strengthening multifaceted bilateral relations on a long-term basis is one of the priorities of Turkmenistan's foreign policy.

In this regard, the parties noted with satisfaction the active development of bilateral cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres based on mutual respect, trust and mutual support.

It was noted that cultural and humanitarian cooperation is an integral part of the interstate dialogue. The Turkmen and Turkish peoples are united by a common history, culture and spiritual and moral values. In this regard, the parties noted the importance of interaction, in particular in such areas as science, education, culture, art and sports.

Continuing the conversation, Hero-Arkadag expressed gratitude to the head of the fraternal state for the efforts to develop friendly bilateral relations and wished him good health, success in his state activities, and prosperity to the Turkish people.

Hero-Arkadag asked President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to convey greetings to the head of state's wife Emine Khanum from her sister Ogulgerek, as well as from the President of Turkmenistan, His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The President of the Republic of Türkiye, in turn, expressed warm greetings to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

At the end of the telephone conversation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed their readiness to support mutual initiatives to further expand relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Türkiye and exchanged wishes for well-being and prosperity to the fraternal peoples of the two countries.
