On the meeting of deputy foreign ministers of the Central Asia-China format

On May 24, 2025, a meeting of deputy foreign ministers of the Central Asia-China format was held in Beijing. The Turkmen side was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov.
The agenda of the current meeting included discussion of issues of preparation for the second summit of heads of state of the Central Asia-China format, scheduled for June this year in Astana.
The deputy heads of the foreign policy departments of Turkmenistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the People's Republic of China made their proposals on the preliminary agenda of the upcoming summit and reviewed the draft joint final documents.
According to the mutual opinion of the parties, holding the next summit will be an important event reflecting the growing role of the Central Asia-China format as an open and constructive mechanism for interstate interaction aimed at ensuring sustainable development, peace and security in the region.
