The President of Turkmenistan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine

President Serdar Berdimuhamedow received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine to Turkmenistan, Ms. Rana Abu Hijleh, who presented her credentials.

Ambassador Abu Hijleh expressed gratitude for the warm reception and noted it was a great honor to represent Palestine in Turkmenistan, a country respected for its peace-oriented foreign policy. She conveyed greetings and best wishes from President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine to President Berdimuhamedow and the National Leader.

President Berdimuhamedow warmly congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment and wished her success in strengthening bilateral relations. He conveyed his best wishes to President Abbas and emphasized Turkmenistan’s commitment to neutrality and productive international cooperation, highlighting the importance of partnerships with Middle Eastern nations.

The President noted that relations between Turkmenistan and Palestine are based on equality, mutual respect, and trust, serving as a foundation for collaboration within international organizations, particularly the UN.

Both sides discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, identifying opportunities in petrochemicals, textiles, agriculture, and food exports. Cultural and humanitarian exchanges were also highlighted, including plans for cultural days, educational exchanges, and joint exhibitions.

President Berdimuhamedow affirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to consider concrete proposals from the Palestinian side and reiterated his congratulations and best wishes to Ambassador Abu Hijleh.

The Ambassador, in turn, thanked the President and expressed her commitment to strengthening Turkmen-Palestinian relations.
