Another Round of Inter-Ministerial Consultations Held Between Turkmenistan and the Hellenic Republic
On June 23, 2025, political consultations took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between the foreign policy agencies of Turkmenistan and the Hellenic Republic. The Turkmen delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Mr. Ahmet Gurbanov, while the Greek delegation was led by Mr. Dimitrios Michalopoulos, Director for Russia, Ukraine, the Caucasus, the Black Sea, and Central Asia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece.
During the consultations, the parties engaged in a constructive exchange of views on the bilateral agenda, reviewed the level of political dialogue between the two countries, and assessed the progress in implementing previously reached agreements.
Recognizing the effective cooperation between the two countries within international organizations, particularly the United Nations and the European Union, the diplomats affirmed their mutual readiness to further enhance multilateral collaboration.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to close foreign policy coordination and mutual support in international forums. An agreement was reached to maintain regular working-level contacts. In addition, discussions were held on improving the legal and contractual framework of bilateral relations.
Addressing the current state and future prospects of the trade and economic partnership, the participants emphasized the significant potential for joint efforts in this area.
Continuing the theme of interstate relations, particular attention was paid to cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The parties expressed interest in developing collaboration in the fields of science, education, sports, tourism, and other areas.
