Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Burkina Faso Discussed Bilateral Cooperation via Telephone

On July 1, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation, and Affairs of Burkinabe Abroad of Burkina Faso, Mr. Karamoko Jean-Marie Traoré.
The parties discussed the prospects for developing bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Burkina Faso. It was noted that there is potential to strengthen cooperation in the political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Cooperation within multilateral structures, particularly the United Nations (UN) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), was also addressed.
Particular attention was given by the foreign ministers to the preparations for the Third Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries, scheduled to take place in the Avaza National Tourist Zone in August of this year.
