The Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Djibouti discussed bilateral cooperation by telephone.

On November 12, 2025, Turkmenistan Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Djibouti, Mahmoud Ali Yusuf.

During the conversation, the parties emphasized the importance of further expanding political, diplomatic, and economic ties between the two countries.

The ministers commended the current level of interaction between the two countries within international organizations, primarily the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, emphasizing their shared views on strengthening peace and sustainable development.

The parties also exchanged views on preparations for the International Forum on Peace and Trust, scheduled for December 2025 in Ashgabat.
