Meeting with the UNFPA Country Director in Turkmenistan

On 11 December 2025, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova and the UNFPA Country Director in Turkmenistan, Chinwe Ogbanna.

At the beginning of the meeting, particular emphasis was placed on the importance and effectiveness of the International Conference “The Role of Women in Modern Society: Developing International Cooperation Towards Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals,” which had taken place the previous day in the Avaza National Tourist Zone.

During the discussion, the parties noted the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNFPA and discussed plans for the coming year.

At the meeting, gratitude was expressed to the Turkmen side for the hospitality extended and the high organizational level of the above-mentioned conference.
