The heads of the Foreign Ministries of Turkmenistan and the UAE held a meeting

On 3 February 2026, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues related to the further development of Turkmen-Emirati relations in the political-diplomatic and trade-economic spheres.

The head of the foreign policy department of Turkmenistan emphasized the significance of the current World Government Summit, which is intended to make an important contribution to the development of cooperation among countries worldwide.

The diplomats noted the effectiveness of interaction between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the UAE. Mutual support of the two countries within international and regional organizations was underscored.

In addition, the sides discussed events planned for the current year in the context of expanding bilateral political relations.
