Congratulatory message of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag, via the digital system on the occasion of the presentation of an international award to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia

Dear participants of the celebration!

First of all, I warmly greet you and wish you all the very best.

From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate the esteemed President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dear brother Ilham Aliyev, and the esteemed Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, on being awarded the Zayed International Prize for Human Fraternity.

Today’s celebration is a vivid confirmation that the principles of mutual understanding and trust, the aspiration to strengthen interstate dialogue and resolve conflicts in the name of peace and stability, are extremely important, effective, and promising approaches to addressing the complex challenges of our time.

In Turkmenistan, we treat the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia with great respect and attach special importance to the development of relations with them. The Turkmen people and the peoples of these countries are united by centuries-old historical, political, economic, and cultural and humanitarian ties. At present, interstate relations are consistently developing on the basis of equality, good neighborliness, and mutual benefit, fully corresponding to the priority goals of our countries.

I would like to note that the wisdom and high sense of responsibility of the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia are key factors contributing to ensuring prosperity and well-being in both countries and, overall, to maintaining and strengthening long-term stability and harmony in the South Caucasus.

We are confident that the awarding of the Sheikh Zayed Prize will serve as an inspiring stimulus for the further promotion at the global level of the highest values of good-neighborly traditions, the philosophy of peace, and dialogue based on trust and mutual respect.

Turkmenistan, using its status of permanent neutrality, its potential, and its accumulated political experience, is ready to provide comprehensive support to activities carried out in this direction, aimed at implementing the agenda for building global and regional peace, as well as addressing pressing issues related to the protection of the norms of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

As is known, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, the year 2025 was declared by the United Nations as the International Year of Peace and Trust, which clearly confirmed the relevance and significance of these views.

At the same time, this demonstrated the steadily growing and strengthening global support for the efforts of various states and authoritative multilateral organizations to overcome conflicts and to develop effective cooperation in international relations in the search for mutually acceptable solutions.

In this context, the adoption of important decisions to achieve peace and harmony between Azerbaijan and Armenia precisely in the International Year of Peace and Trust has truly great historical significance.

Dear participants of the celebration!

Sheikh bin Zayed was a great man. I was fortunate to have many conversations with him at the same table about peace.

I am convinced that the presentation of the Zayed International Prize for Human Fraternity to the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia will give new impetus to the further development of cooperation in the political and diplomatic, socio-economic, and cultural and humanitarian spheres, to raising fruitful relations to a qualitatively new level, and to the implementation of joint large-scale economic and infrastructure projects.

I would like to emphasize that Turkmenistan positively assesses these constructive initiatives and the existing opportunities and will provide them with comprehensive support.

Taking this opportunity, I wish you good health, well-being, and great success in your responsible state activities, and to the peoples of neighboring countries, eternal peace, happiness, and prosperity, and overall, well-being and peace to all the peoples of the planet.
