The heads of the Foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation held a telephone conversation

On February 12, 2026, a telephone conversation took place between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

During the conversation, the parties discussed a wide range of bilateral issues, focusing on the practical implementation of previously reached agreements, as well as the schedule of upcoming contacts and joint events.

The importance of coordinating efforts within multilateral forums, particularly within the CIS and the Caspian states, was emphasized.

The ministers also exchanged congratulations on the professional holidays of the diplomatic services of the two countries.
