Ambassador of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the newly appointed Director-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore

On March 16, 2026 the Ambassador of Turkmenistan H.E. Mr. Begench Durdyyev met with the Director-General of the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore Mr. Jeevan Singh.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and future prospects of Turkmenistan - Singapore cooperation, including political dialogue, trade and economic partnership, transport and logistics, education, and tourism.

Special attention was given to cooperation in the development of smart cities. The Ambassador introduced the project of the modern smart city Arkadag, highlighting Turkmenistan’s interest in cooperating with Singapore to implement advanced digital and technological solutions.

The meeting confirmed the mutual interest of both sides in further strengthening friendly relations and expanding practical cooperation between Turkmenistan and Singapore.
