US Ambassador to Turkmenistan concludes her diplomatic mission
On July 18, 2026, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Elizabeth Rood, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Turkmenistan, who is concluding her diplomatic service in the country.
During the meeting, the two sides noted the positive momentum in the development of Turkmen-American cooperation in recent years. It was emphasized that contacts and visits at the highest and high levels play an important role in strengthening bilateral relations.
The two officials discussed the current state of interaction between Turkmenistan and the United States, as well as prospects for further cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
At the conclusion of the talks, the head of the foreign affairs agency thanked the Ambassador for her contribution to developing the partnership between the two countries and wished her success in her future professional endeavors.
For her part, the Ambassador expressed sincere gratitude to the country's leadership for the support and assistance provided to her throughout her diplomatic service in Turkmenistan.
