TURKMENISTAN AND RUSSIA CONSISTENTLY DEVELOP MULTILATERAL COOPERATION

On the 11th of August 2019, a representative Russian delegation led by the Head of the Government of the Russian Federation D.Medvedev arrived to the city of Turkmenbashi city to attend the First Caspian Economic Forum.

On the 12th of August, the Head of the Government of the Russian Federation participated to the Official Conference “Caspian Sea: Benefits of developing the international economic cooperation” in the framework of the grand opening of the Forum.

In addition, a bilateral meeting of Dmitriy Medvedev with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was held.  During the talks, the parties discussed current issues of Turkmen-Russian relations, particularly in political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. 

The parties discussed the opportunities of increasing the trade turnover between the countries, as well as the development of cooperation in the transport and energy spheres.  It was noted that the First Caspian Economic Forum will make a valuable input in the development of collaboration between the representatives of the business circles of the participating states.  

The Head of the Government of the Russian Federation D.Medvedev also took part in the cultural programme dedicated to the First Caspian Economic Forum.
