Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan met with the Commissioner of the Korea Immigration Service

On April 7, 2026, a Turkmen delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan A. Gurbanov held a meeting with Mr. Cha Young-ho, Commissioner of the Korea Immigration Service. During the productive meeting, both parties discussed the current state and future directions of bilateral cooperation regarding migration and consular affairs.

Throughout the meeting, the Turkmen side presented several proposals aimed at ensuring secure travel for citizens of both nations while ensuring their safe stay, as well as protection of their rights and interests.

Specifically, the delegation drew the Korean side's attention to the necessity of enhancing the bilateral legal framework for migration cooperation. At the conclusion of the session, both parties reaffirmed that continuing these active negotiations aligns with the mutual interests of both states and reflects the high standards of their strategic partnership.
