Meeting with the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA)

On March 13, 2018, a meeting of Turkmen diplomats with the head of the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Ms. Lee Mi-kyung was held in the headquarters of the Korean International Cooperation Agency.

During the meeting, the sides noted that the wide opportunities for development of cooperation exist between the Korean agency and Turkmenistan.

To further develop cooperation in various fields, sides discussed the possibility of signing agreements between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Republic of Korea on the Korean volunteer program, as well as a number of other agreements between KOICA and the Ministries of Turkmenistan.

Sides noted the possible areas of cooperation, such as additional training courses for young professionals, teaching Korean language in Turkmenistan, attracting Turkmen students to study in Korea, holding cultural and sport events, sending professors to universities of Turkmenistan in order to hold lectures and others.
