Diplomatic briefing dedicated to the declaration of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality was held in the Republic of Singapore

On March 14, 2025, a diplomatic briefing dedicated to the proclamation of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust" and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality was held in the conference hall on the 22nd floor of the Wyndham Hotel of the Republic of Singapore. Representatives and senior officials from Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Transport, and Trade and Industry of Singapore, representatives of the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise, heads of diplomatic missions of Central Asian countries accredited in Singapore, academics and mass media representatives participated in the event.

During the briefing, Ambassador B. Durdyev informed attendees about the important political-diplomatic, economic, investment-related, and numerous cultural events planned in Turkmenistan throughout the year. Special emphasis was placed on high-level events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality scheduled for 2025.

During the briefing the attendees also were introduced to large-scale programs and major projects being implemented in Turkmenistan under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty (People's Council) of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Additionally, participants were familiarized with Turkmenistan’s global initiatives within the framework of the "International Year of Peace and Trust," as well as the country’s Concept outlining its activities and priority directions throughout the year.

Furthermore, Ambassador B.Durdyyev introduced to participants the new book of the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov titled "Magtymguly - the Sage of the World" and “Jewel of the Mind” - a new publication of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov .

Moreover, the briefing included an overview of ongoing bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Singapore. Various proposals and ideas were presented to achieve meaningful results in diverse areas in preparation for the upcoming 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year.
