Interview with the Vice President of Hyundai Corporation, who attended the ceremony of commissioning the Ashgabat-Tejen section of the Turkmenabat high-speed motorway.

First of all, I let me express my appreciation to the Turkmen side for inviting me to the commissioning ceremony of the Ashgabat-Tejen section of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed motorway. Hyundai Corporation has been collaborating with the Government of Turkmenistan and the country's transport authorities since 2008. The Turkmen side has purchased hundreds of public transportation vehicles, which include modern passenger cars, city and intercity buses. We are very proud that Hyundai contributes to increasing the routes and frequency of passenger transport in Turkmenistan.

We consider Turkmenistan as a reliable country for cooperation in the field of transportation. Located in the heart of the Great Silk Road since ancient times, Turkmenistan still plays an important role in the development and modernization of the transportation system throughout the Central Asian region. Representatives of Hyundai Corporation are in talks with the Government of Turkmenistan on the development of a new direction of cooperation, particularly, the environmentally friendly transportation systems, which is mainly related to the purchase of electric buses and the construction of power stations, which are gaining wide popularity in the Republic of Korea.

With the participation of the Turkmen Leader at the ceremony dedicated to the commissioning of the first phase of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat high-speed motorway, we once again witnessed the growing competitiveness of the transport and communication systems of Turkmenistan. Let me express my wishes of prosperity and development to the Government of Turkmenistan and Turkmen people and I am confident that our cooperation will be further strengthened.
