30th Anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan was celebrated in Seoul

On November 17, 2021, on the occasion of the 30th Anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan the Embassy of Turkmenistan hosted a reception at the Lotte Hotel Seoul. The reception was attended by Ambassadors of neighboring countries, members of the Economic Cooperation Organization and representatives of international organizations.

His Excellency Ban Ki-moon, Head of the Global Green Development Institute, and Her Excellency Hyoeun Jenny Kim, Deputy Ministry for Climate Change of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea were the guest of honor at the reception.

During their speeches, they noted the rapid development of our country, the establishment of friendly and broad cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea, and the great potential for further development.

His Excellency Ban Ki-moon, Head of the Global Green Growth Institute was awarded the medal "25th Anniversary of Neutrality of Turkmenistan" by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan His Excellency Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. During his speeçh, His Excellency Ban Ki-moon expressed his deep gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to cooperation with international organizations, especially the United Nations.
