On October 17, 2024, a presentation ceremony of a collection of poems by Magtymguly Fragi translated into Kyrgyz was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the diplomatic corps and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, literary scholars, scientists, journalists, faculty and students of the institute, as well as media representatives. During the event, speeches by scientists and public figures of the Kyrgyz Republic were also heard via videoconference.

An exhibition of the cultural heritage of the Central Asian countries was organized in the foyer of the institute, which included printed materials, works of national fine and decorative and applied arts, as well as museum exhibits. The works of artists and sculptors made a great impression on the participants of the event. The musical accompaniment gave the celebration a special flavor.

Speakers at the presentation noted that the humanitarian sphere invariably serves as an important component of interstate relations. A solid foundation for deepening fruitful cooperation in this area is the common spiritual and cultural heritage and moral values that unite the peoples of Turkmenistan and the Kyrgyz Republic. In this context, the publication of the new edition has become a memorable event in the literary life of the friendly country.

It should be noted that during the meeting of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, who arrived in our country on a working visit, the distinguished guest presented the National Leader of the Turkmen people with a collection of poems by Makhtumkuli Fragi, published in the Kyrgyz language.

As the presentation participants emphasized, despite the fact that centuries have passed, Magtymguly's works still sound new today, his work arouses interest and finds fans far beyond Turkmenistan. The poems of the poet and thinker serve as a conductor of love for the Motherland, humanism, peace, friendship, solidarity, mutual trust and respect between cultures and peoples.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants expressed confidence that thanks to the new edition, the Kyrgyz-speaking audience will be able to get to know Magtymguly Fragi's literary work better. This will allow readers to better understand and appreciate the work of the outstanding eastern poet of the 18th century.
