On June 1, 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov left for a state visit to Mongolia. At the capital's International Airport, the head of Turkmenistan was seen off by officials.

Having flown to Ulaanbaatar, the presidential airliner landed at the Buyant-Ukhaa International Airport, where the national flags of the two countries were raised on flagpoles and a guard of honor was lined up. Here, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was met by officials.

In keeping with the established tradition of hospitality, the distinguished guest was presented with the national Mongolian dish gurt and flowers.

From the airport, the head of Turkmenistan departed for the residence allocated for the duration of the visit.

On the second day of the visit, June 2, Turkmen-Mongolian high-level talks will be held in Ulaanbaatar, the agenda of which will include a wide range of issues of interstate cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

In this context, it should be noted that, by developing a constructive political dialogue, Turkmenistan and Mongolia effectively interact within the framework of international organizations, including the UN. Demonstrating the closeness or coincidence of approaches to current aspects of regional and global issues, our countries provide each other with mutual support.

Bilateral relations between governments, foreign policy departments and parliaments are also developing.

Today, there are all the prerequisites for its diversification and expansion, increasing the volume of trade turnover, and activating mutually beneficial contacts through business structures. The Turkmen-Mongolian Business Forum scheduled to be held in Ulaanbaatar is also intended to facilitate this.

At the same time, great importance is attached to stimulating traditional humanitarian dialogue, encouraging interaction in the scientific, educational and cultural spheres, as well as in the field of sports.

It is expected that following the results of the Turkmen-Mongolian negotiations at the highest level, a large package of documents will be signed, which, by strengthening the legal framework of interstate relations, are intended to facilitate the practical implementation of the solid potential of the partnership.

The current state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Mongolia and the events planned within its framework will contribute to bringing bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level, which fully meets the interests of the well-being of the two friendly countries and peoples.
