Telephone conversation between the President of Turkmenistan and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran

On June 5, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian.

Having exchanged warm greetings, the heads of neighboring states expressed congratulations to each other and the fraternal peoples of both countries on the holy Eid al-Adha, as well as wishes for the acceptance of sadaqah and prayers performed on bright holidays by the Almighty.

Noting that Iran attaches great importance to strengthening the ties of friendship and brotherhood, building up multilateral cooperation with Turkmenistan, President Masoud Pezeshkian, taking this opportunity, expressed warm words of greeting and best wishes to the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

The head of the friendly state, noting the importance of the declaration by the United Nations General Assembly of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust" on the initiative of Turkmenistan, highly appreciated the peacekeeping foreign policy of Turkmenistan, conducted under the far-sighted leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Having thanked for the kind words, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov conveyed to President Masoud Pezeshkian words of greetings and congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha from the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

As noted, the relations between the two peoples, united by a common history and culture, go back several millennia.

The interlocutors emphasized that trade, economic and cultural ties between Turkmenistan and Iran are consistently developing.

Continuing the topic, the heads of the two states confirmed their readiness to continue working to strengthen the ties of friendship and brotherhood, expand mutually beneficial partnership between Turkmenistan and Iran.

Once again congratulating the head of Turkmenistan and the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, as well as the Turkmen people on the holy Eid al-Adha, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran wished that the Almighty accept the sadaqah and prayers performed on the bright holidays.

At the end of the conversation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President Masoud Pezeshkian wished each other good health, happiness and success in responsible state activities, and peace, well-being and prosperity to the fraternal peoples of both countries.
