The Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Somalia held a telephone conversation

On December 3, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia Abdisalam Abdi Ali.

The interlocutors discussed the cooperation between the two countries within international organizations, primarily within the United Nations. The similarity of approaches of Turkmenistan and Somalia to issues of global peace and sustainable development was noted.

A separate topic of the conversation was the preparation for the International Forum on Peace and Trust, which will be held on 12 December of the current year in Ashgabat and will be dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality, and the International Day of Neutrality.
