The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan discussed the possibility of expanding cooperation in the field of sports with the Principality of Monaco

On April 28, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, held a meeting with Joel Bouzou, Advisor to the Prince of Monaco and President of the organization "Peace and Sport."

During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the Principality of Monaco. They discussed Turkmenistan’s initiatives promoting sports as a tool for fostering friendship, solidarity, respect, and mutual understanding among nations and peoples.

The parties highlighted the significance of sports partnerships in strengthening global peace and emphasized the importance of the annual White Card campaign, which Turkmenistan actively supports. It was noted that Monaco is open to constructive initiatives and the exchange of experience in this field.

Special attention was given to the unique and neutral role of sports in uniting people both nationally and internationally. The possibility of jointly organizing a major event under the auspices of "Peace and Sport" in the future was also discussed.
