Telephone Conversation Between the Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Niger

On July 1, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Affairs of Nigeriens Abroad of the Republic of Niger, Mr. Bakary Yaou Sangaré.

During the conversation, the Ministers discussed opportunities for developing cooperation between the two countries in areas of mutual interest.

The need to establish regular contacts between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Niger was noted. Both sides emphasized the similarity of their approaches to issues on the international agenda.

A separate topic of discussion was the preparation for the Third Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries, which will be held in Turkmenistan in August of this year.
