Meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan

On 10 September 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, Dmitry Shlapachenko.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations, as well as its specialized agencies.

It was noted that on 9 September this year, the new session of the UN General Assembly commenced in New York, serving as an important international platform for deliberating pressing issues on the global agenda.

Particular attention was given to matters related to the forthcoming session of the Strategic Advisory Council “Turkmenistan – UN.”

In the context of preparations for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, the Turkmen side expressed its readiness to provide support in organizing the planned events in the country.
