Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the Emir of the State of Qatar

On 15 September 2025, in Doha, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Mr. R. Meredov, was received by the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

During the meeting, the Head of State of Qatar conveyed his greetings and profound respect to the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed deep gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for the support extended by Turkmenistan’s leadership to his country and people during this challenging period.

He also emphasized the high level of fraternal relations between the two states and peoples and noted the promising prospects for the further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Qatar across a broad spectrum of areas.

Particular attention was drawn to the importance of interaction between the two countries in the international political arena within the framework of the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other reputable international organizations.
