Meeting of the National Leader of the Turkmen People with the President of the Republic of Türkiye

On 11 December 2025, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, welcomed the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, at Ashgabat International Airport. The President of Türkiye arrived in Turkmenistan to take part in the ceremonial events.

In accordance with the long-standing tradition of hospitality, bread and salt and flowers were presented to President Erdoğan.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, then held a meeting with the President of Türkiye at the airport.

Hero-Arkadag thanked the President of Türkiye for accepting the invitation to participate in the International Forum held in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.

It was noted that the visit of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan confirms the full support of the Republic of Türkiye for the foreign policy course of independent Turkmenistan, which remains consistently committed to the principles of permanent neutrality.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation, the Turkish leader emphasized the significance of the International Forum, noting that it provides a valuable opportunity to discuss issues of further international cooperation for a better future, based on the principles of peace and trust promoted by Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the high level of mutual interest in further strengthening Turkmen–Turkish relations was also emphasized.
