Turkmen-Emirati cooperation in the energy sector discussed in Dubai

On 3 February 2026 in Dubai, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, met with the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the United Arab Emirates and Chief Executive Officer of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), Sultan Ahmed Al-Jaber.

During the talks, the parties noted the constructive nature of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UAE in the gas sector.

They reviewed the progress of ongoing projects and also discussed potential areas of cooperation aimed at further expanding the partnership.

The meeting resulted in an agreement to further develop and strengthen cooperation through regular meetings and consultations between representatives of the two countries, in order to ensure consistent interaction in priority areas.
