Briefing on Preparations for the World Horse Racing Championship and Ahal-Teke Horse Beauty Contest in the Netherlands

Today, on July 1, a briefing dedicated to the preparations for a unique event—the World Horse Racing Championship and the Ahal-Teke Horse Beauty Contest—was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The event is scheduled to take place from September 4 to 6, 2026, at the Peelbergen Equestrian Centre in Kronenberg, the Netherlands.

The participants of the briefing, including heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of local and foreign media outlets, received information on the preparations for this first-of-its-kind event to be held in Europe.

Information was presented on the planned activities aimed at further enhancing the global renown of the Ahal-Teke horse, the priceless heritage and national pride of the Turkmen people.

The event is expected to become an important international occasion, providing a unique opportunity for the global community to become more closely acquainted with the rich cultural heritage of Turkmenistan.
