A telephone conversation took place between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Iraq

On September 15, 2024, a telephone conversation took place between the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Fuad Hussein.

During the telephone conversation, the heads of the foreign ministries exchanged views on the current state of Turkmen-Iraqi relations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

At the same time, special attention was paid to the issues of exchanging bilateral visits at the high and highest levels, as well as continuing contacts in a bilateral format within the framework of international organizations.

The ministers noted the importance and need to continue close cooperation on regional and international issues.
