Inter-MFA Turkmen-Tajik consultations were held at the MFA of Turkmenistan

On October 23, 2024, inter-MFA consultations were held at the MFA of Turkmenistan with the participation of a number of heads of structural divisions of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tajikistan.

During the consultations, the development of political and diplomatic dialogue between the two countries was discussed, and the importance of regular contacts at the highest level was emphasized. Close cooperation and support within regional and international structures, in particular the UN, was noted.

The diplomats exchanged views on current aspects of international and regional politics. In this regard, attention was paid to the topic of regional security, in particular, issues of peacebuilding, economic restoration and political stability in Afghanistan, as well as countering new global challenges and threats.

The parties also emphasized the effectiveness of the partnership between their foreign policy agencies. In this regard, diplomats highly appreciated the level of cooperation within the framework of the current Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries.

During the consultations, a thorough exchange of views took place on issues of foreign policy planning, bilateral consular cooperation, and the implementation of personnel policies of the foreign ministries of the two countries.
