The delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the event to launch the initiative: “A Call for Peace, the End of Wars and Respect for International Law”

On April 25-26, 2025, in Guernica, as part of his visit to the Kingdom of Spain, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov took part in an event to launch the initiative: "A Call for Peace, the End of Wars and Respect for International Law".
The event was attended by government officials, representatives of international organizations, youth leaders, as well as representatives of academia and civil society.
The participants emphasized that the event sends an international message about the need to protect peace and the rule of law. They also noted that it will give new impetus to global efforts to strengthen peace and trust, and will make an important contribution to the implementation of the goals of the UN Charter.
In his speech, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan highlighted that the three-time recognition of Turkmenistan’s neutral status serves as a platform for promoting peace initiatives, fostering dialogue between countries, and preventing conflicts. These efforts demonstrate Turkmenistan’s commitment to making a real contribution to strengthening the culture of peace and advancing international cooperation based on the principles of equality and mutual respect. In addition, the importance of developing dialogue between cultures, religions, and peoples in strengthening peace and mutual understanding was emphasized.
