Meeting with the Director of the Korean Institute of Equestrian Culture
On May 5, 2025, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea, B. Durdyyev, held a meeting with Mr. Ko Sung-kyu, Director of the Korean Institute of Equestrian Culture in Goyang, Republic of Korea. The discussion focused on fostering cooperation in the horse breeding sector and exchanging expertise in equestrian culture. Ambassador Durdyyev outlined the initiatives spearheaded by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to advance horse breeding and promote equestrian sports. He also introduced about the activities of the “Türkmenatlary” State Association and the Aba Annayev International Academy of Horse Breeding newly opened in Arkadag smart city.
Mr. Ko expressed his admiration for Turkmenistan’s commitment to equestrian development, recalling the deep impression left by his participation in the National Day of the Turkmen Horse in 2016. He praised the distinct qualities and beauty of Akhal-Teke horses and conveyed his interest in future cooperation, including joining the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Ambassador Durdyyev presented to Mr. Ko the book "Gadamy batly bedew" ("Swift Step of Race Horse") authored by Hero Arkadag.
