Meeting with the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan for West Asia and Afghanistan

On August 25, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Mr. Rashid Meredov, held a meeting with the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan for West Asia and Afghanistan, Mr. Syed Ali Asad Gillani.

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation between Turkmenistan and Pakistan in areas of mutual interest, noting the fruitful nature of their partnership within international and regional structures.

The sides emphasized that trade and economic cooperation occupies a special place on the agenda of Turkmen-Pakistani relations.

The diplomats highlighted the importance of active dialogue between the foreign ministries of the two countries and expressed interest in advancing cultural and humanitarian ties.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue working on promoting transport and energy connectivity between Turkmenistan and Pakistan, as well as with other countries of the region.
