Telephone Conversation between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation

On August 25, 2025, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Mr. Rashid Meredov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Mr. Sergey Lavrov.

During the discussion, the parties reviewed issues of bilateral cooperation and emphasized the importance of interaction in the international political arena.

In this context, the foreign ministers agreed to continue an active political dialogue, including negotiations and contacts at the ministerial level, in accordance with the Programme of Cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for 2025–2026, signed in Ashgabat in June of this year.
