The Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Moldova discussed bilateral cooperation by telephone.

A telephone conversation was held between Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi.

During the conversation, the parties discussed current and future areas of bilateral relations.

The effective cooperation between Turkmenistan and Moldova within international organizations, primarily the United Nations, was particularly emphasized.

A representative delegation from the Republic of Moldova actively participated in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC 3), held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone in August of this year.

The ministers also discussed issues related to the organization of the International Forum on Peace and Trust, which will be held in Ashgabat on December 12 of this year in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, the International Year of Peace and Trust, and International Neutrality Day.
