Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Meets with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan

On 11 December 2025, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, welcomed the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in Ashgabat to take part in a high-level Forum. The guest was presented with bread and salt and flowers.

A meeting was then held between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Hero-Arkadag thanked Emomali Rahmon for accepting the invitation to participate in the International Forum marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation, the distinguished guest emphasized the importance of the Forum, noting that it would demonstrate the effectiveness of the foreign policy of independent Turkmenistan, which is carrying out extensive work in the international arena to ensure global peace, sustainable development, and constructive cooperation based on trust.

It was noted that the international community is marking International Neutrality Day and the 30th anniversary of the permanently neutral status of independent Turkmenistan. During these days, Ashgabat is welcoming guests arriving to take part in the celebrations. Noting that it was a great honor for him to be among the guests, the President of Tajikistan wished the upcoming Forum successful work.

During the discussion, key issues of Turkmen–Tajik relations were reviewed, and firm confidence was expressed that bilateral cooperation would continue to develop successfully in all areas of mutual interest.
