Negotiations held with the Head of the Political and Protocol Department of the Office of the President of Slovakia

On 11 December 2025, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Peter Vilčák, Head of the Political and Protocol Department of the Office of the President of the Slovak Republic.

At the beginning of the meeting, the parties noted the significance of the events taking place in the country on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and the International Neutrality Day, emphasizing that the policy of neutrality is an important factor in maintaining peace, strengthening mutual understanding, and promoting respectful dialogue in the region and beyond.

The diplomats assessed the current level of cooperation between the two countries and discussed priority areas of interaction both in the bilateral format and within international organizations.

The parties also put forward proposals to intensify diplomatic and interparliamentary cooperation.
