Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the Secretary General of the OSCE

On 11 December 2025, a meeting was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Feridun H. Sinirlioğlu, Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in celebratory events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality and International Neutrality Day.

During the meeting, the significance of the International Forum in Ashgabat as a high-level platform for discussing issues of peace, trust, and sustainable development was emphasized.

The parties discussed the long-standing and productive cooperation between Turkmenistan and the OSCE across political, economic-environmental, and humanitarian dimensions.

It was noted that in recent years Turkmenistan’s engagement with key OSCE institutions, such as the Parliamentary Assembly, the Office of the High Commissioner on National Minorities, the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, and the Representative on Freedom of the Media, has significantly intensified.

Special attention was given to matters relating to the successful implementation of joint programmes and projects.
