Meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to the Russian Federation Sin Hong Chol

On 13 December 2025, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myakhri Byashimova and Sin Hong Chol, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to the Russian Federation, who arrived in Ashgabat to take part in events marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality and International Neutrality Day. 

During the meeting, the DPRK Ambassador conveyed congratulations to the Turkmen side on the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. 

The interlocutors noted the increased dynamism of contacts in recent years between the foreign ministries of the two countries, during which current issues of bilateral interstate partnership and cooperation within major international organizations are discussed. 

It was emphasized that the regular exchange of messages between the leaders of the two countries reflects the mutual respect and understanding that exists in relations between Turkmenistan and the DPRK. 

The sides reaffirmed their commitment to the consistent expansion of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
