POLITICAL CONSULTATIONS BETWEEN TURKMENISTAN AND THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS HELD IN MINSK

On November 22, 2019, political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus were held in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. The Turkmen delegation was led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan; the Belarusian delegation was headed by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus A. Evdochenko.

During the meeting, the parties highly appreciated the friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus, examined the results of work to expand mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. Noting the productive nature of bilateral relations, the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the framework of authoritative international organizations, especially the UN, CIS and OSCE. In addition, the current state of the legal base of bilateral relations was examined.

Then, during political consultations, the parties discussed a number of issues related to the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in such areas of interaction as agriculture, healthcare, trade, economics, sports and others.

The parties noted the growing level of partnership and expressed their opinion on the need to intensify cooperation in the fields of education, science and in other areas of cultural and humanitarian interaction.
