A MEETING ON DIGITAL VIDEO COMMUNICATIONS WAS HELD BETWEEN TURKMENISTAN AND THE JAPAN BANK FOR INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

On April 22, 2020, a meeting on digital video communications between Turkmenistan and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation was held at the State Bank for Foreign Economic Activities of Turkmenistan.

The sides discussed a wide range of issues related to interaction in the oil, gas and chemical industries.

In the field of agriculture and water management, issues of the application of advanced technologies and the experience of Japanese partners in preventing the flow of mudflows and their diversion from settlements were considered.

Particular attention was paid to financing projects implemented in Turkmenistan with the participation of Japanese companies. In this context, the significant role of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), which concluded a number of loan agreements with the State Bank for Foreign Economic Activities of Turkmenistan, was noted.

Supporting the economic policy of Turkmenistan, the Japanese side confirms the readiness of its business structures and financial institutions to further develop mutually beneficial partnership.
