A MEETING WITH THE DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER OF THE REPUBLIC OF TATARSTAN OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION HAS BEEN HELD

On June 2, 2020, a meeting was held between the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R.Meredov and the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation A.Karimov.

At the meeting organized by video conference, the Turkmen delegation was represented by the heads of the Türkmenhimiýa and Türkmennebit State Concerns, the heads of the Türkmendeňizderýaýollary and Türkmenawtoulaglary agencies, the Consul General of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation.

It was noted at the meeting that the interaction of Turkmenistan with the regions of the Russian Federation occupies an important place on the agenda of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia. Particularly among them are partnership relations with the Republic of Tatarstan, Astrakhan, St. Petersburg and other constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

Turkmenistan and Tatarstan have a wide range of bilateral relations, and, during regular summits, a solid base of bilateral documents has been created between the two countries, which is a reliable and solid basis for effective cooperation, and reflecting the parties' desire for mutually beneficial cooperation in the implementation of promising investment projects in various advanced sectors of the national economy of Turkmenistan.

So, since the beginning of the year, the mechanism of regular meetings in the format of video conferencing of representatives of the public and private sectors of the two countries has been activated, where joint steps are being worked out for the further development of bilateral relations in all areas of interaction, where the parties have a great opportunity for mutual implementation.

During the meeting, the parties particularly noted the intensification of cooperation between Turkmenistan in such subjects of the Republic of Tatarstan as KAMAZ PJSC, Tatneft PJSC, Kazan Helicopter Plant PJSC, KER-Holding LLC, Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation JSC and others, as well as the successful functioning of the Turkmen-Tatarstan Working Group on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation.

In addition, it was especially noted that, on the basis of the agreements reached earlier, the Turkmen-Tatarstan cooperation is actively expanding in such areas as the development of joint projects in the field of chemistry, cooperation in the delivery of automotive equipment, cooperation in the field of industry cooperation, education and others.
