Turkmenistan and China intend to develop a comprehensive strategic partnership
On January 15, 2025, a meeting was held in Ashgabat between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Liu Bin.
During the meeting, the parties considered a wide range of issues of effectively developing bilateral partnership, which is of a comprehensive strategic and long-term nature.
Favorable conditions for building up interstate relations create a high level of trust and friendship between the heads of the two states.
The successful cooperation of Turkmenistan and China within the framework of international and regional structures, primarily within the UN, was noted.
It was emphasized that great importance is attached to the interstate dialogue in the Central Asia - China format.
Along with this, inter-parliamentary and inter-party ties are intensifying, and interregional cooperation has also received a new effective impetus.
The diplomats noted the effective partnership in the trade and economic sphere, analyzed the progress of joint activities in the field of energy, transport and communications interconnectivity, and the cultural and humanitarian direction.
The parties expressed their readiness to continue effective relations that meet the national interests and development priorities of the two friendly countries and peoples.
