On May 18-19, 2024, the Central Asia – Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum Secretariat organized the event in Seoul titled the Central Asia Spring Festival. The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Korea also participated in the Festival.

Within the framework of the Festival, as well as on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, the Embassy organized the exhibition of paintings dedicated to the life and works of the great Turkmen classical poet and thinker. The exhibition featured the publications featuring the poet's works, as well as the items of the Turkmen national attire and handicrafts.

A special place in the exhibition was devoted to the books written by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

At the opening ceremony of the Spring Festival, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea H.E. Mr. Begench Durdyyev delivered a welcoming speech. He noted the significant role of the Festival in further developing close cooperation and effective cultural and humanitarian collaboration between the nations. Noting that the jubilee of Magtymguly Fragi is widely celebrated in these spring days not only in Turkmenistan, but also all over the world, he once again drew the attention of the participants to the exhibition organized by the Embassy within the framework of the Festival.

Also within the framework of the Festival, the movie titled “Istärin”, filmed by the “Turkmenfilm” association named after Oguzkhan, which showed the life and works of thinker and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi, was screened. It is important to note that the participants of the Festival were also able to enjoy the composition of the Turkmen composer Rejep Rejepov titled “Türkmen tansy”, which was skillfully performed by the Seoul Pops Orchestra.
