Issues of higher education discussed in Seoul

On June 3, 2024, a symposium on cooperation in the field of higher education took place in Seoul, organized by the Secretariat of the Cooperation Forum "Central Asia - Republic of Korea". Representatives of the relevant ministries and departments, as well as higher educational institutions of the Central Asian countries and the Republic of Korea, and heads of diplomatic missions of Central Asian states accredited to the Republic of Korea, participated in the event.

During the meeting, the participants made presentations on the education systems in their countries and exchanged views on priority areas of cooperation, primarily in the field of higher education.

The event was also attended by the head of the department of higher and secondary vocational education of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan B.Hashirov. Speaking at the symposium, he introduced participants to the major transformations in the field of education in Turkmenistan, and also highlighted current issues of international partnership in this area, particularly in the context of the development of Turkmen-Korean interaction.
